Obituary: Pearline M. Sneed

Pearline M. Sneed of Montclair, a retired educator, died on Dec. 26, 2021, at home. She was 84.

Mrs. Sneed was born in 1937 in Lumberton, North Carolina, and lived in Montclair for more than 20 years. 

She served in the field of education in both North Carolina and New Jersey. 

Mrs. Sneed was a dedicated member who served her churches, First Baptist Church in Lumberton, North Carolina, and New Hope Baptist Church in Newark. Her daughter and granddaughters are members of Union Baptist Church in Montclair. 

She was also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.

Mrs. Sneed is survived by a son, Alphonsous N. Sneed of West Orange; a daughter, Apryl D. Sneed of Montclair; two grandchildren, Adarian and Alaprentia, who attended the Montclair schools, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by a son, Roger Darin Stoner.
