Peter Theobald of Tampa, Fla., formerly of Bloomfield and Montclair, died suddenly at his home on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020. He was 50. 

Mr. Theobald was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair. 

He worked at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was also a shipping manager for Data Print Manufacturing, and worked for the Amalie Arena in Tampa. 

Previously, Mr. Theobald was employed at the family business, Anderson’s Flowers in Montclair. He enjoyed watching his sons play football and soccer, and his daughter dance. Behind the scenes he was always helping out with the stage crew. 

Mr. Theobald enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey Shore with family. He was an avid card player and enjoyed a trip to the casino. He also enjoyed cooking and barbecuing. 

He was a most generous person, willing to help anyone in any way that he could. He always had a smile on his face and was one to make others happy and feel good about themselves.

Mr. Theobald is survived by his wife of 25 years, Stacy (Earley), and his children, Peter Jr., Jennifer and Shane, all of Tampa; his brothers, Donald Jr. (Carol), Paul (Lynn), Stephen (Kara), Christopher (Renee) and Eugene (Dawn), and his sister, Marge (Maureen), all of New Jersey; his mother-in-law, Diane Earley, and his brother-in-law, Richard (Janice) Earley, both of Tampa; many nieces and nephews, and extended family. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Ann.

Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 32 North Fullerton Ave., on Sunday, Nov. 29, from 1:30 to 5 p.m. A funeral Mass will be said at Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m.
