Robyn Duvall DeLorenzo, of Montclair, died at home on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022. She was 43.

Mrs. DeLorenzo was born in 1979 in Southampton, New York, and spent her childhood in nearby Riverhead before attending North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.

After graduating in 2002 with a degree in business management, she settled in Washington, D.C., where she met her husband and started a family, before moving to Montclair in 2012.

Mrs. DeLorenzo will be remembered by her family and friends as someone who cared about her children above all else, who prioritized the needs and wants of others before her own, and who was deeply committed to volunteering and charitable work.

She traveled often, to locales both near and far, but was most at peace while lying on a beach, eyes closed, listening to the waves, as the sun warmed her face.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; her two children, Avalina and Luca; her sister, Michelle; her parents, Virginia and Jerome; her grandmother, Ruth, and loving in-laws Patricia, James and Jennifer and a network of extended family and close friends.

Mrs. DeLorenzo’s family will host a private celebration of her life on Dec. 3 at the Montclair Art Museum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Robyn DeLorenzo Cancer Research Fund at the Duke Cancer Institute, gifts.duke.edu/dci?designation=6111535.
