
Obituary: Rose N. DeFalco
Rose N. (Miscia) DeFalco, formerly of Verona and Montclair, died peacefully on April 28, 2021. She was 102.
Mrs. DeFalco’s greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed baking and having family gatherings on holidays. She also enjoyed sewing, as she worked at various sewing businesses during her life.
She was a volunteer for wake-up calls for Verona seniors, and also sewed aprons for the seniors. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching the Yankees.
Mrs. DeFalco was a caring, loving and giving person who was also witty, with a great sense of humor. The family will always treasure her sweet sentiment, “Kiss the kids for me!”
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Lou, Anne and Joseph Palestini, and Nancy and William Gregorio; her grandchildren, Joseph Palestini (Suzana), Dina Davila (Larry), Paula Vieira and Nicholas Gregorio (Victoria); her great-grandchildren, Gabriella Davila, Marcelo Luciana, Grace Vieira, Brianna Davila, and Russell and Natalie Gregorio; her nieces, Grace Barwick and Marie Miscia Reidinger, and other nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Daniel J. DeFalco; her parents, Candido and Louisa Miscia; her brothers, Anthony, Joseph, Frank and John Miscia; her sisters, Mary Sammarco, Louise Pondiscio, Margaret,and Anna Cesta, and her niece, Virginia Cesta.
Arrangements were by Caggiano Memorial Home for Funerals.
