
Obituary: Thomas Craven Wilson
Thomas Craven Wilson of Montclair died on May 14, 2021. He was 93.
Mr. Wilson was born in 1928 in Huntersville, North Carolina, to the late Samuel Wilson and Maggie Davis Wilson and attended the Mecklenburg County schools in Charlotte, North Carolina.
He was a Korean War veteran and received a Bronze Star medal for service there.
Later Mr. Wilson became a resident of Montclair. He worked as a machinist for Morristown until his retirement.
He attended Elmwood United Presbyterian Church, where he served as a member of the Ushers Ministry.
Mr. Wilson was a proud member of Jephthah Lodge No. 56. He received many awards and plaques that he shared and displayed.
He is survived by his wife, Inna Pearl Conyers Wilson, to whom he was married for 61 years; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; several nieces and nephews; special friends “Big Mike” and Roosevelt Smith, and a host of other friends and relatives.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by three sisters.
Services were Thursday, May 20.
