Outpost in the Burbs presents The Jayhawks Nov. 19
On Nov. 19, Outpost in the Burbs will present The Jayhawks at 8 p.m. at the First Congregational Church.
Outpost volunteers will also be collecting donations of non-perishable items for Thanksgiving for the Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair at this concert.
Volunteers will accept packets gravy or canned gravy, canned cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, yams, green beans, stuffing, boxed mashed potatoes, pie crusts/canned pie-filing, canned salmon, chicken or tuna.
The Jayhawks' harmonies and distinctive arrangements set them apart from other bands in Minneapolis. After releasing two albums in the 1980s, The Jayhawks became a driving force and inspiration behind the growing Americana in the early 1990s.
With a career spanning four decades and with 11 albums under their belt, The Jayhawks released their latest album, "XOXO," in July 2020, featuring song-writing and lead vocal contributions from all four core members.
To gain entry, every patron must show a completed vaccination record, dated at least 14 days before the show.
