“Home is where the heart is,” writes Elizabeth Ann Lasley, a native Montclairite now living in Minneapolis, MN. She visits Montclair often to see parents and grandparents, and this summer discovered an exhibition titled “The Nubian Quilters: Harlem Renaissance” at The Crane House.

“I remembered in my youth when the Crane House was transported by in one piece up Bloomfield Avenue. That was historical indeed!” Lasley writes. “For me to visit this museum during our 150 year township anniversary was extremely sentimental bringing back so many wonderful memories. What a treat to walk around in the museum and rediscover all the jewels right here in our town!”
