Photos: ‘Ol Skool’ cinema ‘Sparkles’

Montclair's Africa and Oliver Lake organize a screening of the musical drama, the original version of "Sparkles," inspired by the history of The Supremes, scored by the late and still great Curtis Mayfield, who died on Dec. 26, 1999, and dedicated to the late and great Aretha Franklin, who passed earlier in 2018, with live music before the show by the Ben Frank Trio, and free popcorn and other goodies, in the United Way Auditorium, Saturday night, Dec. 29.
