Montclair police blotter: July 22, 2020
Wednesday, July 8 — A 34-year-old Newark resident was arrested on Elm Street after police found that she was wanted on warrants issued by multiple jurisdictions.
Tuesday, July 14 — A 49-year-old New York resident was charged with shoplifting after leaving the Acme on Valley Road without paying for almost $450 in merchandise.
Sunday, July 19 — A 43-year-old West Orange resident was charged with driving while intoxicated on Llewellyn Road.
Tuesday, July 7 — A bicycle owner reported that his bicycle was stolen when left unchained in Rand Park on North Fullerton Avenue.
Friday, July 10 — A CVS employee on Valley Road reported that a female took approximately $30 in merchandise and left the store without paying at approximately 8:55 a.m.
Saturday, July 11 — A complainant reported that a cellphone was stolen after it was left momentarily unattended while charging near the Siena Building on South Park Street.
Saturday, July 11 — A North Fullerton Avenue resident reported that four watches, valued at over $33,000, were stolen from his residence.
Monday, July 13 — A vehicle owner reported that a designer bag containing $7,000 in clothing, jewelry and camera equipment was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Watchung Avenue.
Monday, July 13 — A complainant reported that $10 was taken from the counter of the Grove Laundromat on Grove Street.
Tuesday, July 14 — A vehicle owner reported that the catalytic converter was taken from his vehicle on Pine Street.
Thursday, July 16 — A South Park Street resident reported that a watch, valued at $4,500, was stolen from his residence.
Thursday, July 16 — An Edgemont Road property owner reported that a table was stolen from her property.
Friday, July 17 — A vehicle owner reported that his motor vehicle was stolen on Summit Avenue. The vehicle was left unlocked with the keys inside prior to the theft.
Saturday, July 18 — Police found that a stop sign on North Fullerton Avenue had been vandalized, with the word “FACISM” written in green paint on the sign.
Wednesday, July 8 — A sign reading “F--- THE RACIST POLICE” was found hanging inside the area of the tennis courts at Rand Park on North Fullerton Avenue.
