Police are looking for a man that allegedly followed two teens and videotaped and/or photographed them yesterday, Sept. 19.

A 13-year-old girl told police that she was with a friend outside the Montclair Public Library's Bellevue Avenue branch at 3:30 p.m. when they saw a man holding his cell phone as if he was recording them. The two juveniles felt uncomfortable and walked to the CVS on Valley Road. While there, the girl again saw the man. The students then went to the Valley Road Starbucks. Shortly after, the same man appeared again and continued to hold his cell phone as if recording them, police said.

Police said an unidentified customer, concerned for the students' safety, intervened and told the man to put his phone away. The man left Starbucks, police said.

The guardian of one of the juveniles, who had been contacted, then arrived.

The man is described as a white male, between 56 and 60 years old, 5-foot, 8-inches tall with white hair and a white beard. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt, dark-colored hat, sunglasses and carrying a green shoulder bag and a red phone case.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact Detective Dan Heiser at 973-509-4724.
