In brief: PSE&G asking customers to lower power usage
PES&G is asking Montclair customers to reduce power consumption today, July 29, to help avoid power outages in town.
PSE&G estimates that 6,500 customers could lose power if users do not take significant power conservation measures.
PSE&G is currently dealing with a number of electrical failures that could potentially impact the township.
PSE&G has crews in the town making repairs, however, should the utility experience another electrical failure, the utility would need to perform a series of “load shedding” activities to avoid losing an entire substation servicing the town and surrounding communities.
Should you experience a power outage, please notify PSE&G at nj.myaccount.pseg.com/
