On Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m., Chelsea Clinton signed copies of her book “Start Now! You Can Make a Difference,” at Watchung Booksellers, 54 Fairfield St.
In a release, Penguin Young Readers, a division of Random House, writes, “With information on problems both large and small, START NOW breaks down the concepts of health, hunger, climate change, endangered species and bullying, so that readers can understand the world around them and how they can make a difference in their own lives, as well as in their communities and the world at large. The book includes humorous cartoons as well as photographs of real live kids who are making a difference today and lists of ways to get involved.” Included are such questions as: “What can I do to help save endangered animals? How can I eat healthy? Why do I need to cover my mouth when I cough? What do I do if I’m being bullied?”
Chelsea Clinton said, “One of the questions that I was asked often during my ‘It’s Your World’ book tour was whether I was planning to write a book for younger kids about what they could to do make a difference. This book was born out of those questions. I hope that the kids who read it both learn more about what helps us and our world be healthy and are inspired to stand up for what they believe is right. I’ve always said that you’re never too young to make a difference, and I hope this book will show young readers that it’s true.”
