Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Sterling K. Brown (“This Is Us”) underwrote yesterday’s student matinee of Luna Stage’s production of Antoinette Nwandu’s Pass Over.  The production, which had been scheduled to close on March 1, has been extended through Sunday, March 8. Brown was the first African American actor to win a Golden Globe in the best actor in a television drama category.

When Montclair Local reviewed Nwandu’s play about two urban young men dreaming of “passing over” into a promised land, we wrote that it was “savvy and at times startling.”
