Succeed2gether summer enrichment program to begin July 6
Succeed2gether’s summer enrichment program will begin July 6, with a combination
of online and in-person classes that include violin, Mandarin, coding, writing, math,
chess and acting.
“We’ve seen such an improvement in focus and grades of our students this year — even
over Zoom — and we want to continue that success over the summer,” program
director Jacqueline Mroz said in a Succeed2gether press release.
The in-person classes will be held at the Succeed2gether space at 11 Pine St. in Montclair. Students can attend small-group academic sessions in math and English, divided by grade levels. The classes run one hour a day for three weeks. The varied enrichment options give students a chance to try out activities that they might not normally have access to.
“The Polar Scientists program that we ran in partnership with Rutger’s 4-H last winter
was very popular, and we are pleased to be able to offer a two-week option again over
the summer for students in grades 7 through 9,” Succeed2gether president Marcia Marley said.
Different activities are available for students in grades rising K through 12. To see all the classes offered, see bit.ly/S2GSummer2021.
Enrichment and academic programs require a $10 fee per child, and then sessions are
free to qualifying students. Tutoring is also free, depending on income verification. For
