
Culture in brief: Susan A. Davis and “Chronoluminescence”
Susan A. Davis will have a solo exhibition titled “Chromoluminescence” at The Gallery at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, New Jersey Properties, with a selection of abstract works stemming from the last decade. The works on view were executed in pastel on paper or with oil pigment-sticks on board. Davis was born in Jersey City and received a BFA from Rutgers University in 1974, studying painting with Leon Golub and drawing with Lloyd McNeill. Berkshire Hathaway writes, “Her work is broadly in the tradition of the color field painting of the 1950s through the 1970s.” The exhibition opened on Monday, March 2, and will be open through Friday, April 12.
