Ward commissioners will meet this week, either to decide to keep a map already adopted Jan. 12, or to consider three proposals that would significantly reshape the south end of Montclair's political borders.

The resignation also comes on the heels of the township losing its lengthy legal fight over a rent control ordinance.

The firefighters say the rubric was changed specifically to put them at a disadvantage.

The Montclair NAACP and the township's Civil Rights Commission are demanding an investigation.
