In Montclair, time and again, we saw groups and individuals step up, to reinvent themselves, to help people in need, to find ways of being of service. To care.
The COVID-19 outbreak has been a challenging time for Montclair’s social service groups and charities, from food pantries reporting large increases in the number of clients requesting food, to agencies that serve the homeless trying to figure out how to maintain social distancing.
Montclair Film announced on Monday, Dec. 18, that it has received grant awards totaling more than $150,000 in recent months from a wide range of philanthropic entities, including the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, The American Express Foundation, the Montclair Foundation and The Blanche & Irving Laurie Foundation, among others.
