Montclair Mutual Aid

Over 200 people shopped through donated kitchen items Sunday.

Participants can share a story and get free items for the kitchen

Proceeds will be given to Montclair Mutual Aid for disbursement.

Funds will be dispersed to local organizations that can meet immediate needs as they become clear.

Opportunities for those who need assistance, or those able to provide it.

So far, 29 slated for donation.

Members stress: They didn't want to just replicate the many charities already in Montclair. Instead, they focused on connecting neighbors, building partnerships — creating and building on community.

MHS’ National Organization for Women club and the Montclair Menstrual Club are hopeful that when classes resume, they'll be able to bring back boxes of tampons to school bathrooms.

The Northeast Earth Coalition (NEEC) in partnership with First Congregational Church installed the first little pantry in town. The free Little Pantry is based on a simple rule: Take what you need and donate what can. The NEEC is planning to install two more pantries.

Community fridges are set up in public areas and give people access to perishable food in neighborhoods lacking a supermarket. Locals can pick up the perishable food that they need free of charge. People are also welcome to leave food.
