First responders draw a crowd

The identity of the individual who left an illegal trap that led to the euthanizing of a fox is not yet known.

Police are looking for help in identifying the occupants of a vehicle that threw a kitten out of the car’s window while driving down Glenridge Avenue Friday afternoon.

On Tuesday, Montclair Police and Animal Control officers responded to a caller who reported to see a fox stuck in an animal trap.

A Montclair resident says he was the victim of a “bogus” police call — when he was waxing his car while listening to music through headphones, and an officer arrived to investigate a neighbor’s noise complaint.

An early morning police pursuit through Montclair that ended in a crash in Glen Ridge has left at least two people dead, according to reports by various news agencies.
