A breathless call just in from Liz with the news that Queen Latifah — yes the Queen herself! — was in Whole Foods. The Queen (who you remember from Chicago, among other movies) has local roots: Wikipedia says Newark, we remember East Orange. Whatever. Looks like the gal came home and is cooking breakfast for her mom!

I saw her a few months ago. She was filming, in a car, on Bloomfield Ave, turning onto S Fullerton.
I just heard E.Orange is going to have a “walk of fame” in front of their Hollywood movie theater and that Queen Latifah will be one of those honored there so I believe she is connected with East Orange.
I’m pretty sure she’s an Irvington girl. I thought she played on their HS basketball team.
I know her mom lives in Wayne, near Packanack Lake.
