Dr. Renée Baskerville argues big, outside money is already influencing Montclair elections — and proposes a change to the school board appointment system, rather than eliminating it.

Walk-ins are welcome, but the MFEE is encouraging advance registrations.

With enough signatures, they'd force a referendum asking you to decide if the election should be moved.

The dedication followed a car caravan by the Montclair African American Heritage Foundation, taking the place of the organization’s usual annual parade.

Statewide, Black and brown residents are vaccinated at lower rates than white New Jerseyans. Community health workers say good information helps to close those gaps.

The effort particularly focuses on reaching communities of color in Montclair.
