Montclair has adopted its $136,339,182 school budget for the 2020-2021 school year, in a budget season that was complicated by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Montclair’s schools may be eliminating several staff positions due to budget issues, as well as scheduling and low enrollment.

The Montclair School District is heading into the 2020-2021 budget season facing a $7.5 million shortfall: more than triple the shortfall that needed to be closed at the start of last year’s budget season.
