Softball

The Egan & Sons team captured the 2022 spring championship recently for the Montclair Men's 30-and-over Softball League.

Montclair High School sophomore Hannah Martin racked up the stats on the softball diamond. She was tops in New Jersey in RBI with 56. She led Group 4 in hits (53) and extra-base hits (23) as well as RBI, and was second in the group in runs scored with 52, behind teammate Brooklyn Awad, a freshman who had 54 runs.

The Montclair Kimberley softball team finished with a 10-10 mark, and qualified for the state playoffs. They also won a game in the Prep B Tournament, 10-0, over Morristown Beard on May 9.

Montclair softball team registered a 20-win season for the first time in more than a decade with a 20-7 mark this past spring.

The Montclair softball team was 12-4 overall and in first place in the Super Essex Conference Liberty Division.

Despite a fast start, the Mounties have work to do for the rest of the 2022 season.
