Sure, there was shopping and feasting. But some Montclair holiday traditions would seem awfully strange today.

The effort was in memory of Bruce Taylor Sr., a longtime resident and MHS athletic star people remembered for his generosity and kindness.

Buzz Aldrin Middle School house leaders held the annual Thanksgiving drive on Tuesday, Nov. 24, with this year's need even greater due to the pandemic.

Residents are being urged to confine Thanksgiving celebrations to immediate family only, and to take measures such as having a celebration outdoors if feasible, or indoors with ample ventilation if not. Party hosts are also urged to have supplies such as masks, hand sanitizer and single-use towels on hand for guests.

This Thanksgiving holiday may look a little different, but some tasts are forever nostalgic. A cornbread stuffing is the recipe of the month.

Some Montclair restaurants are offering takeout Thanksgiving Day meals and/or dining in on Thanksgiving, according to Montclair Center BID.
