Hobokenites Ken Schept and David Dessel are celebrating Thanksgiving in a unique way. Schept, a writer, has created “America’s Table,” a Thanksgiving reader, published annually by the American Jewish Committee. This year filmmaker David Dessel collaborated on the project to create nine short documentaries that profile individuals who are featured in the reader (download a free copy here).
The collaboration began when Schept and Dessel were walking home from the PATH train. They ended up creating an innovative, multicultural portrait of America.
