About 100 people gathered for an evening of food, drinks and dancing at Ruthie’s BBQ & Pizza on Wednesday night. For seven of the attendees however, things looked pretty bleak a month ago as they watched their home and belongings go up in smoke.
On the busy intersection of Grove and Walnut streets in Montclair’s Fourth Ward, the area is dotted with F. Paul Kaveny Field, mom-and-pop eateries, a small insurance company, podiatrist office, dry cleaner and homes.
As promised, the township has installed 30 more Bigbelly garbage receptacles, with them now located in all of Montclair's business districts.
The municipality opted to purchase the latest batch of 150-gallon solar-powered trash compactors following the successful rollout of 40 units in the Montclair Center last February...
