An Estes Express Lines truck took down a cable around 10 a.m. Monday at the corner of Watchung Plaza and Watchung Avenue. 

A Montclair police officer and members of the Montclair Fire Department responded to the the incident, Lt. Terrence Turner said Monday. A Verizon maintenance truck was on the scene at 12:30 p.m. Monday repairing the downed wire. 

The lane heading toward Watchung Plaza from North Fullerton is blocked, as of 12:30 p.m.

Businesses around Watchung Plaza reported no power outages after the incident, and the PSE&G outage website reported no outages in Montclair as of noon Monday. 

The UPS Store at 41 Watchung Plaza did not experience any power outages Monday morning, an employee said Monday. As far as he knows, none of the other stores in the plaza have experienced outages, the employee said. 

An employee at Sushi Koshi, located at 109 Watchung Avenue, confirmed that the restaurant also did not lose power.
