At least two people were injured when a senior care van and a transport ambulance collided at the intersection of Greenwood and Claremont avenues Thursday afternoon.
Police Lt. David O’Dowd said Friday that a senior care van, carrying two seniors, was traveling southbound on Greenwood, while the transport ambulance, which was carrying one patient, was traveling eastbound on Claremont. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.
O’Dowd said that the two seniors in the senior care van were taken to an area hospital with complaints of head and arm pain, and that there were no injuries reported in the ambulance.
The ages and genders of the drivers or injured people were not yet available as of Friday morning.
