The Upper Montclair Train Station Bellevue-Erie Commuter Parking Lot will be milled beginning on or about Tuesday, June 25, weather permitting. During this construction period the lot will be closed throughout the duration of this project.
Parking will be allowed on the adjacent cross streets during this parking lot construction period. Make all necessary arrangements to park your vehicle accordingly.
The parking lot will be open to traffic once milling operations and all cleanup has been completed. Expect delays due to the contractor’s activity if driving through the work area. Once milling has been completed, please use caution while driving or walking in these areas as the manholes and storm water catch basins will be raised. Paving will then be completed within 5 to 7 days.
The parking lot will remain closed to traffic for 4–6 hours after paving while the asphalt cools. No vehicles will be permitted in the parking lot until the barricades are removed from the entrances and exits.
If there is a problem or if you have any concerns, and there isn’t an officer at the site during the milling/paving, immediately call the Montclair Parking Utility at 973-509-4997.
