Vice President Kamala Harris will visit Montclair Friday to speak about coronavirus vaccinations and President Joe Biden's spending plan for child care, NJ.com has reported.

Harris will also visit Newark, according to a White House official speaking on condition of anonymity to NJ.com.

Harris will urge New Jersey residents to get vaccinated and talk about Biden's spending plan. The spending plan would expand and hold down the cost of child care — providing free preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds, increasing salaries for child care workers, lowering costs of child care, and extending the tax credit for those taking care of children or other dependents.

Biden came to New Jersey last month after Hurricane Ida.
