Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, would have been 108-years-old on March 2. In honor of the man who gave us The Cat in the Hat and many other childhood favorites, March 2 is also Read Across America Day, an annual reading motivation and awareness program from the National Education Association (NEA) that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading.

This year, Read Across America is going green with The Lorax. The book with the environmental message of sustainability was first published in 1971 and has been made into a new film to be released on March 2.
