As part of Women’s History Month, the Montclair Public Schools, along with the MFEE, is sponsoring an American Girl Doll event –“Reading, Writing and the American Girl” with author Denise Lewis Patrick.

Patrick was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana and is now a Montclair resident. She is the author of Meet Cécile, an American Girl series about a free girl of color in 1850’s New Orleans. Patrick is the author of thirty-five other children’s books, as well as educational materials, and poetry. Barista Kids interviewed her here back in September.

Bring your American Girl doll and/or book to be signed by Ms. Patrick and enjoy this informative and fun event!
