This week in Bloomfield, police reported several attempted auto thefts and DWI arrests, along with burglaries, robberies and criminal mischief.

BURGLARY

09-25-2012 – On Washington St. the Front door of a business was forced open and two (2) Sylvania TV’s, along with an old style cash register containing $150.00 cash was taken.

09-25-2012 – On the 500 block of Bloomfield Ave. a rear window was broken and entered by an unknown person(s) who removed an Assu laptop.

09-26-2012 – On Claremont Ave. a basement window to a residence was entered by an unknown person(s). Once inside a Dell laptop computer a black lock box, and various jewelry was taken.

09-29-2012 – In the Brookdale Gardens apartment complex the rear window of an apartment was accessed by an unknown person(s) and a 55inch Sony flat screen TV along with a Mac Book computer was taken.

BURGLARY INTO AUTO

09-26-2012 – On Lewis St. a 2006 Chrysler 300 was broken into and a GPS unit was taken.

09-26-2012 – On the 200 block of N 17St. a 2013 Infiniti had the drivers lock damaged and a Tom Tom GPS unit was taken.

09-30-2012 – On the 100 block of Orange St. a 2007 Nissan had a passenger side window broken. Proceeds were &500.00 cash, various id’s and GPS unit Tom Tom.

09-30-2012 – On Austin Pl. & Fremont St. a 2009 Nissan was entered and an I-Pod was taken.

09-30-2012 – On Walnut St. a 2008 VW was entered and a purse taken.

STOLEN VEHICLE

ATTEMPT THEFT AUTO

09-25-2012 – On Berkeley Ave. a 2004 Dodge SRX had the ignition damaged.

09-26-2012 – On Fairview Pl. a 1994 Jeep had the ignition damaged.

09-28-2012 – On Grove St. there was an attempt to steal a 2007 Jeep with NJ license plates.

09-30-2012 – On Claremont Pl. a 2009 BMW had the door locks and ignition damaged.

09-30-2012 – On Fremont St. there was an attempt to steal a 2011 Infiniti with NJ license plates.

THEFT

09-25-2012 – On Franklin St. a victim placed her Barnes and Noble Nook down and when she returned it was missing.

09-25-2012 – On Stone St. a Sho Gun black and white bicycle was taken from a rear yard.

09-26-2012  – On the 200 block of Broad St. 8 steel water grates were stolen.

09-28-2012 – On the 200 block of Ampere Parkway. A 26 inch men’s Road Master Mountain Bike was taken from a rear yard.

ROBBERY

09-29-2012 – On Bloomfield Ave. & Watsessing Ave. a victim reported that they were approached by 4 black males who demanded their money. One suspect motioned as if he had a gun although none was viewed by the victim. A black Samsung cell was taken and the suspects fled East on Bloomfield. Ave.

09-29-2012 – On Glenwood Ave. & Lackawanna Plaza the victim was approached by a black male, 5ft -5 inches tall, approximately 20-25 years of age who asked the victim what time it was. When the victim removed his cell phone to look at the time the suspect grabbed the phone, pushed the victim and fled.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

09-27-2012 – On the 700 block of Bloomfield Ave. a soda machine was damaged.

09-29-2012 – On Hill St. a 2006 Jeep had the rear window broken.

09-29-2012 – On Lake St. a 1999 Saturn had the interior of the vehicle damaged.

ARRESTS

09-26-2012 – Cedric Brown of Montclair was arrested for Burglary & Theft.

09-28-2012 – Kenneth Grant of East Orange was arrested for Warrants.

09-28-2012 – John Varner was arrested for DWI.

09-28-2012 – Jonathan Gonzalez of Newark was arrested for Burglary.

09-29-2012 – Cody Stephens of Kendall Park was arrested for DWI.

10-01-2012 – Antonio Nettles of Paterson was arrested for DWI.
