On Saturday, April 6, the Montclair Cooperative School will hold its annual auction gala, this year entitled SustainaBall, in recognition of the school’s focus on environmental studies and advocacy in its culture and curriculum, as well as our involvement in sustaining the community both near and abroad.
The 2013 SustainaBall Auction Gala will be held at The Women’s Club of Upper Montclair at 200 Cooper Avenue and will feature gourmet food, an open bar with multiple specialty drinks, a raffle and silent auction. The evening will culminate with a high-spirited live auction of unique prizes such as access to vacation homes in Dubai, London, Deer Valley and the Catskills, tickets to see the Yankees and the Blue Man Group, authentic Jets, Giants and Rangers paraphernalia, passes for the Montclair Food and Wine Festival, as well as gift certificates to some of the area’s best restaurants.
All prizes have been donated by parents, relatives, friends and more than 80 local businesses. SustainaBall is being sponsored by P&C Pediatric Dentistry of Clifton, Valley National Bank, Gray Scalable Inc., and Nancy Sussmann of Keller Williams Realty – NJ Metro Group. The food is being provided by Rustic Food Custom Catering, and will surely be delicious!
Funds raised from the Auction Gala will support enriching experiential activities such wilderness expeditions, environmental programs, travel volunteer trips and financial aid, enabling us to make our philosophy of educating the whole child a reality.
Montclair Cooperative School is a nonprofit, cooperative school made up of a community of teachers, students and parents dedicated to creating a diverse and nurturing environment where children flourish intellectually and develop exceptional social skills along with a deep sense of community responsibility.
