Bill Bradley, Former US Senator, NY Knick & NBA champion, will be the honored guest at the Glen Ridge Women’s Club on Tuesday, November 12 at the GRAA Basketball Tip-Off Party to raise funds for the Glen Ridge Athletic Association (GRAA) Â basketball program.
Christine Campbell, one of the event coordinators, says, “Our event puts the FUN in fundraiser. We are thrilled that Bill Bradley is appearing and is coming to speak to Glen Ridge basketball fans.”
In addition to Bill Bradley, the $150 ticket per couple will  get you adult beverages, food catered by Fitzgerald 1928 and access to a modest silent auction. Can’t get a sitter? They have that covered too—they are offering free babysitting.
Campbell adds, “We are raising money to make some important changes. First and most importantly, the hoops that were installed several decades ago at the middle school stand fixed at 10 feet high. The new equipment we are installing NOW will allow the hoops to move up and down to 8 feet. This will allow GRAA to include first graders in the basketball program. It’s important to note that baseball, lax, floor hockey and soccer all begin in pre k and kindergarten.”
