Dave Stryker Trio

It’s a quiet weekend, since places are getting ready for New Year’s Eve next Tuesday, but there are still ways to get out and have fun on the last weekend of 2013.

A perfect way to continue the holiday celebration is at Trumpets with the Dave Stryker Trio and their annual Day After Christmas Party. Joining guitarist Stryker are Jared Gold on organ and Billy Hart on drums.

Or head upstairs at Tierney’s to see Lil’ Bastad‘s Holidaze Blowout Dace Party on Saturday night for the “real deal in Funk, Soul, R&B, and Blues.” The tongue in cheek name is evidence of the winning humor and unique style that instantly connect their audiences with their music. This five piece blues-based band formed in 1999 through their musicianship and great love for the Blues, R&B and Funk. Lil’ Bastad combines “old school” styles with their own contemporary feel, to form a winning musical balance. Please Bring A Non-Perishable Food Item for the Winter Food Drive helping the Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair.
