New Jersey Arts Incubator (NJAI) will celebrate summer at the Oskar Schindler Performing Arts Center (OSPAC) amphitheater in West Orange with its annual Summer Solstice Celebration this Friday, June 20.
The Summer Solstice Celebration is a gathering of regional performers and artists presenting world music, dance, drumming, arts and crafts for children and more. As the sun reaches its highest peak of midsummer and then sets in glorious splendor from the ridge of the first Watchung Mountain, guests will join in a series of sun salutations and be treated to performances by special guests including the Montclair-based Freespace Dance. Other performers include Tye Stephens, award-winning songwriter and entertainer; The Center for Spiritual Living of North Jersey’s One Voice choir; Mark Woods, a regionally renowned teaching circle drummer and world music musician; “West Orange Idol” Lynette Sheard; spoken word artists and much more.
Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Food available for purchase. Â
