DSCF17701On Sunday, join in the festivities of the Grand Reopening of the Crane House and Historic YWCA in Montclair. After closing the building for painting, the Montclair Historical Society was inspired to share the stories of the people who lived there, worked there, learned there, and danced there. These are voices that they are  capturing in their new “Many Voices” tour. The stories that they encapsulate include stories about “Israel Crane’s role in the development of Montclair, the heartache of loving and losing a young son in the 19th century, the pride of the women who moved north as part of the 20th century Great Migration to find work, and the often untold tales of de facto segregation right in our own community.”Attend the Grand Opening and share in the history.

Grand Reopening of The Crane House and Historic YWCA
