Chris Isaak

Chris Isaak will perform at The Wellmont Theater tonight. Chris Isaak’s new album First Comes the Night is his first recording of all original songs in over six years. Isaak is a non-stop touring, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, actor and talk show host. His vocal style has garnered enormous acclaim and his songs have been featured in numerous films including “Blue Velvet”, “Married to the Mob” and “Wild at Heart.” His vast repertoire of long running hits include “Wicked Game,” “Forever Blue,” “Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing” and “Somebody’s Crying.”

Bellevue Avenue Carnegie Library

A violent labor strike, a private meeting in Andrew Carnegie’s home office, and an impassioned petition by Upper Montclair residents all played a role in the creation of the Bellevue Avenue Library, a Carnegie library that opened in 1914 and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Take a tour of the library and learn more on Saturday afternoon. This tour will highlight the building’s architecture both inside and outside and the story of how it came to be, illustrated with historic photographs. Led by Lisanne Renner, historian for Friends of Anderson Park.

On Saturday night The Porchistas Home Studio will host an outdoor potluck Rock For Bernie concert to support the campaign of Sanders for president. This will be an effort to drum up ground support for Bernie in the final weeks leading up to the New Jersey primary which takes place June 7. Enjoy music by Homeless Apians, Fiscal Cliff, The Porchistas, and Elk City.
