Applegate Farm Ice Cream will host their first Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Thursday, December 1 at 7 p.m. The free-to-attend event will feature Christmas music with from a brass quartet from Montclair Orchestra and carolers as well as a live DJ, plus a live reindeer, ice carving, and of course, the lighting of the tree. Applegate Farm will have offer their famous apple cider donuts, homemade ice cream, hot cocoa, and apple cider for sale as well. Santa will ride in on a tractor to light the 40-foot Christmas tree and kick off photos with Santa. Families can also enjoy a candy cane lane with make your own Stockings & Hats along with free s’mores and toasted marshmallows made by the fire. Applegate Farm will have offer their famous apple cider donuts, homemade ice cream, hot cocoa, and apple cider for sale as well.
“The tree lighting event is the perfect kick off to photos with Santa. It is going to be fun for the whole family and having Santa and a live reindeer will definitely get everyone in the Christmas spirit,” says Applegate Farm owner Jason Street.
Photos with Santa is a photo opportunity with Santa Claus in store. It will be running weekends from December 3-18. The package will be available for purchase online at applegatefarm.com and in store and includes a visit with Santa Claus, either two 4×6 or one 8×10 photo, and a $5 gift card to the store. Walks up are welcome.
