We applaud the educators involved in the Social Justice Institute for the influence that it has had on these student”, according to Marcia Brewington, Chairperson of the NAACP Membership Committee one of the event organizers. Albert Pelham, President of the Montclair Branch NAACP stated that “if we expect our young leaders to be successful, we must give them a forum in which to express themselves. I am extremely proud of the Membership Committee for embracing the youth in such a way that they understand the importance of responding to political, social and educational obstacles that will remain ‘obstacles’ unless and until we speak to inherent wrongs.”
