The Bloomfield Animal Shelter Advisory Committee is partnering with Turtleback Zoo to present a program about various types of wildlife, and the shelter’s Animal Control Officers will explain their role in the community.

The event is being held this Friday, September 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bloomfield Civic Center at 84 Broad Street and is open to people of all ages.

Information will include what to do if you come across a wild animal, how to coexist with wildlife in our urban setting, and who to call when you see an injured animal. Turtleback Zoo will have animals there for attendees to meet as part of the program.

It’s not too late to register, as there are still available seats. However, you must email Nicole at ncosenza413@gmail.com to RSVP as seating is limited to 35. Pizza and soda will be served.

The program is co-sponsored by the nonprofit Supporters of the Bloomfield Animal Shelter, and donations will be accepted at the event.
