boil water

The North Jersey District Water Supply Commission (NJDWSC) will be performing maintenance and repair work beginning Saturday evening, March 2,  through the morning of Sunday, March 3.

Beginning Friday, March 1, customers may notice a slight increase of chlorine residual in drinking water. NJDWSC is adding the chlorine as a precautionary measure. The chlorine taste may last until Tuesday, March 5.

During the maintenance work, the township Water Bureau will run on its storage reserves with limited water production. The Water Bureau asks that customers limit water use during this time. Customers may experience low water pressure and potentially discolored water while maintenance work takes place.

The Water Bureau may need to open interconnections with other water systems, which could result in your drinking water tasting somewhat different from what you normally expect.
