The 2020 Essex County Deer Management Program in Essex County South Mountain Reservation and Essex County Hilltop Reservation began this month.
The program will be held in January, February and March on Tuesdays in South Mountain Reservation and Thursdays in Hilltop Reservation.
The days in South Mountain Reservation are Tuesdays: Jan. 14, 21 and 28 and Feb. 4, 11 and 18 (with make-up days on Tuesdays, Feb. 25 and March 3 if any previous dates are cancelled).
The days in Hilltop Reservation are Thursdays: Jan.16, 23 and 30 and Feb. 6, 13 and 20 (with make-up days on Thursdays, Feb. 27 and March 5 if any previous dates are cancelled).
The program will not be held in Eagle Rock Reservation.
To maximize safety, South Mountain Reservation, Hilltop Reservation, Cedar Grove Park and all parking areas and walking paths inside the reservations will be closed to the public on the days the program is held in that specific reservation.
