How do you make a living? OR What is your everyday passion? We opened Local in February 2017 with a passion for a well-designed community-oriented space with service at the highest level – and of course, award winning coffee, tea and treats.

What’s your idea of a perfect weekend day? Sleep in, then a long family walk with the pooch, a stop at our favorite coffee shop and daydream a bit.
What’s your favorite local restaurant? That’s a tough one…lots of great food in the neighborhood, but if we had to pick one, Dai-Kichi – the sushi is simply the best with the passion of Aki’s team shared on the daily.
What’s on your nightstand? An autographed photo by awesome 90s Australian Pop Duo Savage Garden. (joking, or am I?) Mostly, hydration products and an iPhone.
What are you listening to? These trying days bring a need for comfort R+B, so going back to some Fugees, The Score on heavy rotation.
What are your current indulgences? Been keeping things super-focused to be able to stay on point for my family and my community, so Cody Rigsby and Emma Lovewell (Peloton trainers) are my biggest indulgence. Love those two.
What talent you would most like to have? Rapper, would love to spit rhymes, because to rock a rhyme that’s right on time, It’s tricky.
What’s the worst-kept (or best-kept!) secret about Montclair? You don’t have to pay your parking tickets. Really, nothing will ever happen.
What do you hope they say about you at your funeral? Hey, wait a second, is he still moving?!
