Montclair Public Library will offer a paid internship through the Public Library Association’s Inclusive Internship Initiative.

The library is seeking one incoming high school junior, senior or college freshman to design a service project for a specific community of their choosing. The library will provide mentorship and resources. Application forms and more information about the internship can be found at montclairlibrary.org; the library urges applicants to read carefully before applying.

To apply submit the following to Kiersten Paine at kiersten.paine@montclairlibrary.org and Jessica Trujillo at jessica.trujillo@montclairlibrary.org by May 7:

● The application form
● A short essay detailing your interest in the internship and outlining possible directions you’d like your project to take
● One letter of recommendation

The letters of recommendation can be from a teacher, other school official (such as a coach or guidance counselor), community partner (such as a youth group leader or supervisor), or a librarian.
