The Side Door, a Friday after-school program open to all middle schoolers in Montclair, has reopened for in-person outdoor activities.
The program, which takes place at Union Congregational Church, 176 Cooper Ave., provides a safe space for middle schoolers to be with their friends. It is overseen by part-time staff and volunteers from Montclair State University, Montclair High School and other area high schools.   Â
All activities are outdoors. Remaining sessions will be in person, weather permitting, May 7, 14 and 21; after that, sessions will be via Zoom until school ends. Parents have to complete a health survey/preregister their children for each Friday.
