I am Noah Gale and I am an alumni of the Montclair Public Schools district (Class of 2018) and a proud candidate running for the Montclair Board of Education.

As COVID-19 omicron variant cases are surging and numbers are going high and more people testing positive for this virus, I highly suggest to schools Superintendent Jonathan Ponds and the Montclair Public Schools district that they make and impose a coronavirus vaccine mandate for all students ages 5 and older as well as staff.

Vaccines are safe and effective, and so far have saved millions of people’s lives. All of the other vaccines are required on the immunization list, such as the measles vaccine. Why shouldn’t this one be added?

We are very lucky that there is a vaccine that helps prevent everyone from getting COVID-19, and your chances of dying or being hospitalized are very low if you are vaccinated.
