Montclair, N.J. — Outpost in the Burbs will kickoff its 35th Anniversary of “Music and More in Montclair” with a ‘MiniFest’ on Saturday September 17th at 2 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will take place on the lawn in front of the First Congregational Church, 40 South Fullerton Avenue. The rain-date is Sunday, September 18th at 2 p.m. Audience members are encouraged to bring folding chairs and blankets.
Musical performers include an array of Montclair-area artists featuring:
Jason Didner (children’s set at 2 pm), Sammy Mellman, Ed Seifert, Stacia Thiel, Eddie Nicholas, Meg Patrick, Scott E. Moore, Big Mamou, and a special “Outpost Allstars” set including David Amlen, Rob Halper, and Judy Cangialosi.
There will be a trivia contest with signed CD giveaways, other prizes, and children’s activities. Light refreshments will be for sale as well as tickets to upcoming Outpost shows and information on volunteering, sponsorships, and member- ships. Remarks will include recognition of Outpost volunteers and its founders.
Outpost volunteers will be collecting donations of non-perishable foods for the Little Free Pantry run by the Northeast Earth Coalition.
