The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will hold an Out of the Darkness Community Walk, a walk to prevent suicide, on Sunday, Oct. 30, at Verona Park.
“The Out of the Darkness Community Walk is a journey of remembrance, hope and support,” according to the AFSP’s Essex County website. “It unites our communities and provides an opportunity to acknowledge the ways in which suicide and mental health conditions have affected our lives and the lives of those we love and care about.”
Check-in and registration begin at 11:30 a.m. at the bandstand; ceremonies begin at 12:30 p.m., with the walk starting at 12:45.
